A group of the Shogun's loyalists embark on a perilous mission to rescue him from the Mikuji Prison, following a treacherous coup. Little do they know, Traitors lurk among their ranks, each with their own hidden agendas.

Game Overview

This game is designed for 5 to 10 players, each taking on a secret role with two to three traitors among them. The objective is to eliminate each other through voting, abilities, or event commands, with one group ultimately emerging victorious. Players' characters remain hidden at the start but are revealed when they use their abilities.

Event Details

Gameplay Mechanics

The game unfolds over multiple rounds, with each round featuring three events: one Meeting, one Reveal, and one Elimination.

  • Elimination: Players vote to eliminate one another.
  • Reveal: Players uncover hidden information about each other.
  • Meeting: Players discuss strategies and form alliances.

Event Selection

Events are chosen based on the number of alive players and the game status (difference between the number of traitors and loyalists). Players are informed of the game status to strategize accordingly.

Event Availability

If no events of a specific type are available for the next round, a random event is chosen.

Starting and Ending Events

  • Blood Oath: The game begins with this event, where players introduce themselves and a duel is initiated.
  • The Last Samurai: When fewer than three players remain, this event determines the winners.

        • If the Ronin is chosen and the Prime Minister's role is revealed, you can say you are loyal.
        • If the Investigator is the event leader, they must secretly ask the other side and say whatever they want.
        • If the Shadow is chosen, they can reveal a false side.

        Defend yourself. If you get the most votes, you are eliminated. You cannot use your ability in this event.

        Event Notes

        • The Kunoichi can cancel the event.
        • The Onmyodo can use their extra life to survive.
        • The Ronin can commit suicide and reveal one player's side before being eliminated.
        • The Shadow can use Invisibility to avoid being eliminated.

        The Samurai must kill one person, and the Geisha must poison one person. No one can save them.

        • Attacking or poisoning the Doctor has no effect.
        • The Kunoichi can neutralize the ability if targeted.
        • The Prime Minister can reveal their true identity instead of being eliminated.

        Event Type: Elimination

        If a Shinobi is in the game, they can give a shuriken to someone. The holder kills someone, and no ability can save them. The killed player reveals their side.

        Event Notes

        • The shuriken holder cannot eliminate the Shinobi with the shuriken.
        • The Shadow can use Shadow Strike on the player who gave them the shuriken.

        Form temporary alliances. Vote to eliminate one player. The player with the most votes is eliminated.

        Event Notes

        • The Ronin can reveal one player's side before elimination.
        • The Investigator can neutralize the votes and ask the side of the player with the second most votes.

        Complete a secret mission within the next two rounds. The mission could be to reveal a specific player's side or eliminate a player without being detected.

        Event Notes

        • If the mission fails and you are the Prime Minister, you can reveal your true identity instead of elimination.
        • If the mission fails and you are the Geisha, you can poison someone before elimination.

        Event Type: Meeting

        If you are a traitor, choose a player not on your side to work with your team. If you are loyal, choose a player. If they are a traitor, you can stay in the game but you are traitor from now. If not, you are eliminated.

        Event Notes

        • The Onmyodo can force a duel with one person if chosen.
        • The Geisha's agent can also poison others when they die.
        • The Onmyodo can use their extra life to complete the mission without being detected.

        Event Type: Meeting

        Sabotage the group's efforts by targeting another player. If the target is a loyalist, the saboteur is eliminated. If the target is a traitor, the saboteur gains an additional ability.

        Event Notes

        • The Ronin can reveal one player's side before the sabotage is executed.
        • The Kunoichi can neutralize the sabotage and turn it against the target.
        • The Geisha can't die in this round but reveal if targeted.

        Use abilities to eliminate others. If 3 players remain, the 2 of them form alliances. If there are any traitors among them, the traitors win. If 2 players or fewer remain, apply the same logic.

          A battle between two players decided by voting. The player with the most votes, even if it's just one, wins the duel.

          • 5 Players: 2 traitors - 3 loyalists (traitors don't know each other)
          • 6 Players: 2 traitors - 4 loyalists
          • 7 Players: 2 traitors - 5 loyalists
          • 8 Players: 3 traitors - 5 loyalists (one traitor does not know the other two, and vice versa)
          • 9 Players: 3 traitors - 6 loyalists (two traitors do not know the third, but the third one knows the other two)
          • 10 Players: 3 traitors - 7 loyalists
